That's a great overview of the book. I haven't finished reading it myself, but I've been keeping up with all of the furor over it. I come from a Korean and Korean-American (I'm mixed and was raised in both countries) background, and my reaction to this whole thing is very... complicated.
Nonetheless, there was a book club discussion that happened around this book on Slate.com that I think is worth listening to as well because they actually discuss how stunning un-self aware she can be with this book and how that can affect public image and its effectiveness as both a memoir and a cultural text: Slate.com: Amy Chua's Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother (http://www.slate.com/id/2282607/)
