All Given Away. My Tiny Apartment Thanks You!

Sorry, no more copies left to share of Meeting Faith: The Forest Journals of a Black Buddhist Nun (a PEN award-winning memoir by Faith Adiele).

I'll be sending books out this week*, and I hope all of you who get Faith's book (either through your own purchase or through the giveaway) enjoy reading it!

*I'll send them first-class in the US, but probably have to send them by (slower, yet cheaper) media mail rates internationally.

Hi -- I don't need you to send me one -- just wanted to tell you that I think your generousity is lovely. I'm a bookseller, so I'm going to order some for stock for my store, and read it that way. I bet I know some customers who'll be interested, too. Great recommendation!

This looks amazing! (I've emailed you.)

And I second the lauding of your generosity, whether I manage to snag a copy or not. :D

I'd love a copy! I'm messaging you now.

Hello,

I am not a LJ member but I have added your community to my blogroll, and I have been reading here regularly. Our community is focused on women of color so your 50 Book Challenge is something I am enjoying immensely.

I realize I do not qualify for the book, but I would like to know if I could get a donated copy. I run a community library for girls at risk. We receive zero funding.

Because of the work we do, I am not shy about asking. I can understand a no. I will add the book to our wish list nonetheless.

Thank you,
Color Online Reader Activist

This is a wonderful offer.

I sent you a message. :)

This is a lovely offer. Thanks for posting.

(I don't have any bookshelf space to give you. I'm currently working on a major space reclamation project. But I feel a little better about people for reading this.)

Your post acted as a great recommendation - I went over to amazon and bought a new copy (to preserve the free ones for those who most need them). Can't wait to read it!

Agree with [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon; I ordered myself a copy after the very generous offer was posted. It came yesterday, and I've already found it fascinating.
