Thanks for this! I met Shirley Lim (Geok Lin) several years ago (her childhood friend was my English tutor for most of secondary school), and only knew her for her poetry, and I had no idea she wrote fiction! I shall seek out this book when I'm home in Malaysia ^^ She's said some stuff I found problematic, but I look forward to seeing how she portrays Malaysia =)
