It's been awhile, but I remember absolutely loving Remains of the Day. As someone who was raised on masterpiece theatre and Victorian era books, I'm such a sucker for anything involving repression, mansions and dying empires.
I really dislike Never Let Me Go though, so I'm looking forward to your review. A lot of people called that book a masterpiece and I don't see it at all.
