Writers of Color 50 Books Challenge

I'd definitely recommend it! You have to have some level of tolerance for academic prose, but Perry isn't trying to be obfuscatory or to play games with words, imo. If you liked the intro, the rest of the book is much the same: rigorous, but well-written and clear. I'd love to hear what you thought about it, if you do end up reading it: it was one of those books that I'm still thinking about weeks later.
