librarything group?

I've been a member of this community for a while, but my posting has fallen off lately, though I've been keeping up with the reading.

I thought it might inspire me to update a list in a LibraryThing group the way I do with the 999 Challenge there. (Here's my thread if you want an idea of what I'm talking about.)

I searched, but I couldn't find a 50books_poc group on LibraryThing. Is there one? If not, I'd be happy to start one (for people to post lists, or discuss--not that I want to take discussion away from this community--or whatever seems appropriate). I just want to make sure I wouldn't be reinventing the wheel.

I don't actually use LT groups much at all -- too busy socializing in community places (here & FB). How could we use such a group? (I have v little idea.)

I was thinking of it as a way for people on librarything who already like its groups feature to talk about how they're doing with their challenges and share recommendations. LibraryThing has a nice feature that allows you to link directly to the LibraryThing page for a book or author within your message.

Personally, I think it would be fun to have a thread I could link to in my profile that collects information about books I have read and am planning to read for 50books_poc. That is the sort of information I like to share in my librarything profile--I have one for the 999 Challenge--but I can't link to a post in my own livejournal the same way, since it's friendslocked, and linking to 50books_poc would not have the same effect since it's everybody's posts, not just my own. But, I'm not sure if there are many people here who would want to use a librarything group in that way--finding out about that is sort of what this post is for.

As far as I can see, there is no such group. I'd join, though. I was thinking of starting a group, too, but hesitated because I haven't really been involved beyond the actual reading.
