Date: 2011-03-16 02:57 pm (UTC)But I was irritated by the destined-love-at-first-sight aspect. It takes all the fun out of the romance for me -- I have trouble suspending my disbelief since I live in a world where pretty much everyone can and does love more than once, but it's not just that, since they're not exactly human and I can chalk it up to that if I have to -it's that I can't relate and I have trouble even caring, because once you've found the One it's assumed as an axiom that no matter how damaged you are, how abundant in trust issues or lacking in communication skills, Love will Be Enough. Well once you've gotten rid of all that, where's the plot?
