This is in Spanish Pilipino, sometimes called Florante. It was written in 1899 but translated by Salud Cordoba Dizon and Maria Elinora Peralta-Imson into English in 1994. I confess it is my love of Imelda Marcos that kept me reading. Very Northern perspective.
