#16 - Obviously I'm about the gazillionth person to read this now that Obama is president elect. I even saw it in the store labelled (not our) 'President'.
I have little to add to the reviews of this work, other than to say that as I was reading it I kept imagining what George W's autobiography might look like. Obviously he wouldn't have (ghost) written it after becoming the editor of the Harvard Law Review.
And Bush's biography would feature short, declarative sentences. A simple message. A hook: alcoholic redeemed by Jesus. There would be no thought, no analysis and no big ideas.
*Dreams from my Father* is the opposite of this: Really intelligent, lots of self awareness, lots of social awareness, ambitious ideas.
